There is another great reason to come enjoy the beauty of fall in Mont-Tremblant!

Tremblant Gourmand Festival kicks off this Thursday and runs from September 18 to 28 in Mont-Tremblant, Quebec. The first of its kind in North America, the Gourmand Festival describes itself as an adventure for the active epicurean and features 10 days of programming for the whole family.

The Mont-Tremblant Village will be filled with culinary demonstrations, exhibitors, and Oikos (who is a title sponsor of the event) will have their Snackmobile out giving away free samples. There will be a cookie-decorating station and a Smore’s bar! Learn how to make your own Nutella, get BBQ and grilling tips, and discover seasonal regional recipes.

The active portion of the event includes cyclo-gourmands, or gourmet bike tours, hiking, trail running, and even a wild mushroom-picking excursion!. These activities are held on Saturdays and Sundays, at 10 and 1 pm, departing from the Place Saint Bernard. Full schedule is available on the Tremblant Gourmand website (should we give the link here?). To participate you have to purchase a VIP Passport for $15, and all activities are free for Passport holders.

Food lovers also need to stretch, and Lole is organizing yoga and Zumba classes, open to all levels outside on the Place Saint Bernard. There will also be toning and stretching classes throughout the day, ending with a free Oikos snack.

The Tremblant Gourmand festival promises to entertain and delight your entire family. Tremblant is an amazing destination for its combination of outdoor adventure opportunities and great cultural events. The International Blues Festival is a perfect example!

The Bluesfest in Mont-Tremblant strives to be accessible and open to all. A wide variety of musical tastes are satisfied with the eclectic mix of R&B, blues, country and folk that make up this year’s lineup. Most shows are completely free and open to the public, and they take place in different venues all over the mountain: from the Place Saint Bernard to the Place des Voyageurs, shows inside restaurants, churches, and on the street, the rhythms will really be felt all over town.
One of the themes of this great festival is to have artists mingle with attendees, and you will often cross the musicians at other shows and walking down the streets! There is even a karaoke event, that invites amateur singers to participate in a competition, and the winner receives a unique guitar.

This is the 24th edition of the International Bluesfest in Mont-Tremblant, and they are expecting as in past years over 100 000 participants.
